Delicious & Nutritious Lunch.

So, it’s lunchtime and you’re scrambling for something in the fridge, which restaurant to eat at, or which foods would be best together. It’s never a simple task to figure out what to eat. Remember– choosing what to eat could make or break your diet. Today, I couldn’t decide, but once I saw this puppy sitting in the fridge, I couldn’t help but grab it. I took out two slices of multi-grain bread and spread on this Organic Sunbutter! Have you ever tried it? Well, here’s the jar. IMG_20140328_130030

Here are the factoids from–

Nutrition Info: Nut-Free Protein

We’re now way beyond sandwiches! We love seeing what SunButter customers create with our products. We’re especially fond of seeing it in kids’ lunches and as a substitute for peanut butter in heirloomed family recipes. We’re so proud that kids and their parents can safely enjoy sandwiches, smoothies, with apples, carrots, celery or crackers, and in nut-free recipes. SunButter gives kids and others with food allergies filling protein, great taste and other nutritional benefits, including:

  • 27% RDA of Vitamin E
  • 8% of iron
  • Double the fiber of peanut butter with the same level of protein
  • No hydrogenated oil
  • 0% trans fatty acid

As you see, it’s filled with all things healthy! I love a good Sunbutter and enjoyed every minute of this sandwich. After I ate this delectable bread and butter, I was still hungry. Instead of grabbing for the chips, no way, no how, I opted for a bowl of Vanilla & Almond Cereal. IMG_20140328_131056 I can’t drink milk, so I just ate it dry. Usually, I pour some good ol’ Coconut Milk, but since I don’t have any, I opted to eat it as is. If you don’t like Coconut Milk, you can try Almond or quinoa milk. Quinoa is delicious and nutritious and in milk form, it’s even better. As for my drink, I had a cup of ice water– hold the lemon. This delicious and nutritious lunch had me yearning for more, but I told myself, “no.” Instead of eyeing up the kitchen cabinets, I think I’ll brew myself some tea. I love tea and I hope you do to. Happy eating!
