Eat a sweet treat and work it off!

So, this delectable treat was free with a coupon from Corner Bakery Cafe. It was 330 calories of pure bliss. I took small bites just to enjoy each piece. I wanted to savor the flavor and appreciate it. I don’t normally eat sweets, but if I do, I usually like to go all the way. However, I promised myself if I chose this one, I would have to work-out twice as hard. I needed to burn off all those calories and more. That’s the catch.

This is what people don’t realize. If you eat something like this, you MUST burn it off. You have to figure out how long to stay on that treadmill or the elliptical or else you risk gaining weight. Even though I didn’t want to run on that machine for an hour, I KNEW I had to. I’ve gained a little bit of weight and I don’t like it.

I was looking at photos last night and saw my stomach. It’s not like I gained A TON of weight, but rather like 5 pounds, which looks ugly. I simply cannot digest chocolate, milk, cheese or other products, so I avoid them, which is good. Honestly, if I could consume those foods, I’d be overweight, so I’m sort of thankful.

But, I wanted to reward myself this once by choosing this Monster Cookie. It was a one time thing and from now on, I’m going to avoid eating Donuts, Bagels, Muffins and sweets. I need to get back to where I was. I sound like I gained about 50 pounds. No, I’m just VERY conscious when it comes to my weight. I can’t and won’t EVER be fat.

So, here’s the progress I made on the treadmill.

I was so proud of myself afterward! So, if you DO decide to give in, which you should once in a while, just be sure to burn it off. You won’t feel guilty if you eat that treat and workout.

Happy eating!

  1. Sweet Jesus. I sincerely hope you grow up one day. One cookie isn’t going to kill you. It’s fine to be health conscious but you act like someone eating a cookie is comparable to committing a homicide.

    1. Hey Emily– thanks for the feedback. Everyone has their opinion when it comes to indulging.
